Journey to the River Sea is a book by Eva Ibbotson. This book is an adventure and love story. Journey to the River Sea causes people want to go to different places and explore more of the beautiful environment. The book is also about showing love to others.
Journey to the River Sea is about a boy name James and a girl name Mary who love exploring natural environments by looking at the animals, birds, plants, etc. Mary and James enjoyed looking at the environment. They went to different forests, eat different types of fruits and play around. They loved the nature.
Years later, James and Mary grew into adults. One day they decided to travel to the sea called the River Sea. They had the map to go there. They start their journey to the River Sea. They went to the boat by car and from there they start going on a boat. Looking at the map, they found out that it was going to be long journey.
One fine morning, the James and Mary got up and, to their surprise, there were no islands around them; There was nothing but water. They got bored looking at the water only. They really didn’t have any fun but they knew they were getting closer to the River Sea.
One dark and cold night, Mary and James started to think about what a they are going to explore as they travel to the River Sea. As they were thinking, suddenly, the boat started to move. It was about to rain. Within seconds, the boat almost fell over as there were very huge waves. But they avoided the storm. The next morning a sailor wakes them up, telling them that the boat had a slight crack. He also told them that they have to go an island as soon as possible. The boy takes out his map and looks if there is a island nearby. The girl looks around the the sea and she started to scream.
Eva Ibbotson’s Journey to the River Sea is about love the adventure of trying to explore, and the natural environment. It tells about how the characters in the story like exploring and going to different places. It is also a best seller.
