The Darksword Trilogy Vol. 3: Triumph of the Darksword is a sequel written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman in 1988. It is an action and adventure book which has filled readers’ minds with adventure for centuries to come.
The story of Darksword Trilogy is about a peasant who’s destiny is to destroy the Lord of Shadows. The peasant, who’s name is Alexander, doesn’t know of his destiny, but later finds out after a soldier from the shadows kills his father and says,“I have been sent by the Lord of the Shadows to challenge you in a fight to the death. He has sent me to kill you, since you are the Chosen One by the Gods.”
Alexander fights the soldier and defeats him with a sweep of the soldier’s sword. After this fight, the blacksmith of the underworld appeared before Alexander and gave him the famous Darksword and the white robe of the heavens and said, “With the robe of the heavens and the Darksword you can start your road to the Death Gate and to the Lord of the Shadows.”
Soon enough, Alexander went to Mount Olympus in Greece, the home of the Death Gate which only creatures from the underworld can cross. But Alexander had the Darksword in his power. With it, he crosses the Death Gate to fulfill his destiny...
Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman’s masterpiece, The Darksword Trilogy Vol. 3: Triumph of the Darksword, gives readers a taste of honor. This book has left readers with an active sense of adventure and eeriness. Though this story is fiction, the authors succeed in giving readers believability in this action and adventure book.
