Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Peosta Days Parade a great success. The College's presence in local parades during the summer is a fun way to connect with the public, spend time together and to show our appreciation for the communities we serve and our pride in NICC. APPETIZER | something for your appetite.

Meet our Online & Blended Learning Team!

The Online & Blended Learning (OBL) team’s primary mission is to support the design and delivery of quality learning experiences that align with the College’s mission and strategic plan. OBL provides faculty resources and professional development related to enriching and innovating learner experiences in and out of the Brightspace courseroom, whether online, hybrid or face-to-face.

Need Brightspace Help?

Please submit ALL Brightspace questions and support requests via the Brightspace Helpdesk Ticketing System. Our support team works together to respond to tickets sent in less than 24 business hours.

The OBL department is your primary source of contact for assistance with Brightspace. This summer our team developed a Knowledgebase to help you with “all things Brightspace” and other things of interest in our department. Please take time to look at the Google Site and learn a little more about Brightspace or find a quick answer to a question you might have about the Learning Management System.

If you need more personalized training, the team can provide you with that and also help troubleshoot issues within course sites. We are happy to partner with faculty to design online courserooms and materials for online, hybrid and face-to-face courses. We will have a great template to share soon!

To receive the most efficient training and assistance, please complete a Brightspace Helpdesk Ticket. A member of the OBL team will contact you to arrange a time for personalized training.

BIG FISH | be amazed.

Construction Manager | District

What gets you excited about the mission of Northeast Iowa Community College?

The focus on educational programs designed to meet the needs of the local area workforce, not simply to stress a four-year degree.

Which of the six College values do you most identify with and why?

Service. Working as a small business owner in the construction business for much of my life has taught me that "service" is not simply a word, it's a way of life and commitment to the service you provide. Service should bring success and satisfaction to both yourself and those that you provide the service for.

What is the most important memory you have and why?

My years of building in the Bush of Alaska. I learned how to appreciate and experience the best of the life and beauty offered me, often under the most extreme weather and cultural conditions.

If you could invent any product, no matter how unrealistic it may seem, what would it be and what would it do?

A medication distributed to all people worldwide that would put an end to human greed, terrorism, senseless wars and the certain path to global self-destruction.

If you had to choose one thing you were most passionate about, what would it be and why?

My 68th or 69th birthday and the retirement that will come along with it. After 50 years in the workforce, the "why" is not rocket science. After all, there needed to be some humor for this BIG FISH!
