Thank you for the kindness!

  • Words can be classified into groups.

Math

Kindergarten Writing Readiness

All through Pre-K we work hard on perfecting our "fine motor" skills. A big part of being ready to write is strengthening our hands, increasing our fine motor skills. Try this fun activity at home to help your child gain hand strength and increase their writing abilities.

This week's idea comes from www.differentiatedkindergarten.com. Check out Marsha's blog for loads of great ideas to do with your young learners. Our focus is on the use of a tennis ball, a dice and some small items such as pony beads. Slice the tennis ball open about one to two inches to represent a "mouth" and add some googly eyes for fun. Have your child roll a dice, identify the quantity represented. Next, your youngster will "feed" the tennis monster beads in the quantity shown on the dice. Have fun strengthening their fine motor skills while increasing math awareness.

Pre-K Support Needed

Our classrooms are extra blessed when items on our wish lists appear. We have had some parents ask if we had an Amazon Wish List for our classrooms. We have linked our wish lists below for your consideration.

Thank you to those who have helped supply classroom needs. If you are able to help any teacher, we greatly appreciate your kindness.
