Gingerbread & Holiday Traditions

This week we will continue holiday fun with the Gingerbread Man and talk about some holiday traditions.

Circle Time

Color Songs Red and Green: We will sing our Red and Green songs and talk about the letters in the words.

Trixie the Triangle: We will identify triangles that we see around our classroom and will practice drawing triangles with corners.

OCT 2021 Holiday Hullabaloo continues this week! We will have themes each day for dressing up. Participation is completely optional!

Dec. 6 Menorah Day (Wear blue and bright or light clothing.)

Dec. 7 Candy Cane Day (Wear red and white.)

Dec. 8 Winter Wonderland (Wear white or snowman attire.)

Dec. 9 Kwanzaa and Krafts (Wear black, red, and green.)

Dec. 10 Chinese New Year (Wear red.)

-The OC Taylor Book Fair is this week! Please see the school newsletter from our librarian for more details. If you are interested in shopping the Book Fair yourself, it will be open to parents of ECSE-2nd grade students on Tuesday, Dec. 7th until 6:30 pm.

-GCISD participates in global Hour of Code activities. In our classroom this takes the form of playing with our Code-a-pillar toy and trying out preschool apps that introduce kids to coding. We will be doing our Hour of Code activities this week in class. Stay tuned on Seesaw for pictures.
