This week in SOCIAL STUDIES, we are wrapping up our study of the events leading up to the American Revolution! There are 12 major events that the students have studied to help them better understand how England made life such a struggle for the colonists and what lead to them finally declaring independence.

Students are completing their illustrated timelines to show what they know.

Reading/ Writing

This week we will be working on our end of book projects. These projects will be shared in class on Thursday!! We started talking about these projects last Friday in class.

I will be picking up all book club books this week. If your child lost their book, please have them search everywhere for it (hopefully they will find it) or buy me a replacement so I have enough books for our next book club rotation.

We will be going to the library the Tuesday after Thanksgiving break. Please make sure any books that need to be rechecked or returned are in backpacks.

Our 2nd book talk will be due Dec. 10. This book talk will be told from the main character's point of view. The rubric will be the same as last time, and is still posted in Canvas.

Students will NOT have Poetry or spelling this week!!

Turkey stories and disguises are due FRIDAY!! Students will be disguising a turkey to go with their stories. The disguises will be done AT HOME!
