Fairy Tales and Valentines
This week we will read some fairy tales and talk about the elements of a fairy tale. We will also begin to do some Valentines songs and art!
Circle Time
Pink color song: We will sing and spell the color pink, and find things that are pink
Haley Heart: We will sing about hearts
Letter K song: finding Kk in text, making Ks, and learning the K sound
Poison apple number identification game
Arrow letter heart game for capital letter identification
Story time/Read alouds

Jack and the Beanstalk
The Princess and the Pea
Play and Work centers
Measuring with candy hearts
Measuring and counting with cubes on princess hair
Filp and color heart number identification
Letter K practice, writing names, drawing shapes in journals
Painting hearts for Valentines decorations
Home Living, Toy Center, Trains, Sensory bins, Fine Motor/Art, Books, Motor Lab on a rotating basis
Upcoming Events and Reminders
-We have students with allergies in our classroom. Please do not send snacks with peanuts or peanut butter with your child.
-The PTA Dad's Club is hosting the annual Snow Hill breakfast on Saturday, February 5th. Please see the school newsletter for details.
-Our Valentine class parties will be held on Friday, February 11th. We will send out emails to our PreK students, AM class, and PM class separately so that you know how many Valentines to send with your child. We will also have a sign up sheet for parents to send in party supplies. Please stay tuned to your email inboxes this week for that information!
-There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 14th for a Professional Development day.
