Construction
Welcome to 2022! With our short week back at school, we will be talking about construction. Our circle time activities, books, and work will have a construction theme.
Circle Time
Color Songs Black: We will sing our Black song and talk about the letters in the words.
Danny Diamond: We will identify diamonds that we see around our classroom and will practice drawing diamonds with corners.
Letter Pp song with objects and picture identification, making Pp with lines and curves
Story time/Read alouds
Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site
Mighty, Mighty Construction Site
Play and Work centers
Roll and Cover Construction mats to practice numbers to 10
Building materials of different shapes and colors
Letter Pp practice; shapes, lines and name writing in journals
Home Living, Toy Center, Books, Fine Motor/Art, Sensory Table, and Motor Lab on a rotating basis
Upcoming Events and Reminders
-Winter Break is Dec. 20-Jan. 4. Students return on Wednesday, January 5th.
-We have depleted our classroom stock of Pull ups and diapers. Please send a supply of 3-4 diapers/pull ups in your child's backpack each day. Please also make sure your child has a change of clothing in their backpack in case of accidents.
-Progress reports will be sent home this week via email from the Parent Portal. If you have difficulty, please let us know.
