What are we Learning?
Reading: I can read to learn about the world.
Writing: I can add pictures and words to my writing.
Math: I can make a pictograph. I can draw conclusions to interpret a graph.
Science: I can observe and record properties of objects, bigger or smaller, heavier or lighter, shape, color, and texture.
Social Studies: I can role play a rule at school by choosing a place, rule and authority figure.
Ipads
Ipads went home last week. Please create a routine with your child to charge it each night and bring it to school each day!
We download apps together as a class. Please don't let your child download any apps at home!
Book Bags
Please make sure you have cut out your child's uppercase and lowercase letters and practice the letters your child still needs to master. Also, make sure you have cut out the blue sight word cards and yellow trick word cards. These words need to be placed separately in their own ziploc baggie or on a ring.
Don't forget to make sure your child brings their book bag to school EVERY DAY!
Library Day
Below is the day your child's class will go to the library each week! Please make sure your child brings their book that day so they can check out a new book. We always tell our students to keep their book in their backpack at all times (unless they are reading it) so it is always here at school when it's time for the library!
Arington: Wednesday
Lind: Thursday
Mack: Thursday
Richardson: Tuesday
Kindergarten Volunteer Form
Please return this form (if you haven't already) to your child's teacher so we know who is able to volunteer. We hope we are able to have volunteers this year!

Going Home
If you find your child must go home a different way than planned, please notify the office by a phone call by at least 2:00 p.m. Teachers and our front office staff do not always have access to email or are busy teaching or helping others. A phone call is required. Sometimes we have only one person in the front office, so we want to provide ample time to be able to meet your needs.
