Happy New Year! 2022

Wow! Here we are in a new year, 2022. We are so excited to enter our 2nd semester of Pre-K learning with your wonderful child. Starting January 5th, our Middle of the Year C.L.I. testing cycle will open. Students will be assessed individually on academic concepts, much like their Beginning of the Year test. Should you have any questions regarding this testing cycle, please email your child's teacher.

Please continue to encourage your child to practice writing their name, counting, identifying letters and letter sounds, as well as other Pre-K skills mentioned in our weekly newsletters. Your support at home is evident!

Hang on as we begin this wonderful semester full of growth in Pre-K! We can't wait to see how much your child learns!

"Under Construction"

This week we will begin our exploration of a new thematic unit, "Under Construction". Students will learn vocabulary words such as: architect, blueprint, construction, cooperation, engineer, foundation, parallel, polygon, quadrilateral, skyline, and skyscraper. We will explore the concept of alliteration as we read various books about building. Students will search for words that begin with the same sound. Students will also seek to sequence the events of a story.

Looking forward to...
