Math

MATH STAAR IS OVER! I am so proud of each and every one of my students. They worked so hard this year and I am so fortunate to be their 5th grade math teacher this year!

This week in Math we will be having some FUN with digital breakouts, games, and extension of our learning in 5th grade math. We will review all concepts taught this year and spend more time in Personal Financial Literacy.

2nd 5th Grade Auction:

The 5th grade teachers and I are working on another Auction for the students to enjoy in the final days of 5th grade. I don't have a date set yet but it will most likely be the last week of school. I have created an Amazon list of items they helped me come up with of things they would like to bid on with their Eppersonian bucks. If you have any interest in helping that day, I would love a few volunteers, please email me and let me know!

Science & Social Studies

This week in Science, we are destroying our SCIENCE STAAR TEST!!!! I am so unbelievably proud of these students!!! WE GOT THIS!!

In Social Studies this week, we are continuing to work on our ERAs project as well as Celebrate Freedom Week activities. This is where students will review popular U.S symbols and their significance.

Students will present their ERAs project on May 25th!

Reading/ Writing

This week the students will continue their Era Project! On Monday they will begin creating their artifacts in class, so be sure that your child has the necessary materials needed!!

Tuesday is Science STAAR!

Wednesday and Thursday students will continue working on their artifacts and their write ups for each artifact.

Friday is Field Day!!

NO more spelling this year!

Mark your calendars for May 25 from 10-11 for student presentations of their particular Era. Presentations will be in the library!
