Holiday Fun
We will continue with songs, stories, and activities to celebrate the holiday season!
Circle Time
Color Songs Red and Green: We will sing our Red and Green songs and talk about the letters in the words.
Trixie Triangle: We will identify triangles that we see around our classroom and will practice drawing triangles with corners.
Letter Dd song with objects and picture identification, making Dd with lines and curves
Rudolph's Nose color rhyme and song
Jingle Bells song with bells
Must Be Santa book and song with sequencing pictures
Story time/Read alouds
Dear Santa
Corduroy's Christmas
Play and Work centers
Playdough with holiday mats and cookie cutters
Gingerbread Letter Match
Reindeer Art
Roll a Color, Decorate the Tree
Order Santa's Reindeer by number; count and feed the reindeer game
Letter Dd practice; shapes, lines and name writing in journals
Home Living, Toy Center, Books, Fine Motor/Art, Sensory Table, and Motor Lab on a rotating basis
Upcoming Events and Reminders
OCT 2021 Holiday Hullabaloo continues this week! We will have themes each day for dressing up. Participation is completely optional!
Dec. 13 Baby, It’s Cold Outside (Wear a cute or ugly sweater.)
Dec. 14 Santa is Coming to Town (PTA is providing Santa hats to all!)
Dec. 15 Las Posadas (Wear red, yellow, white, and/or green.)
Dec. 16 Polar Express Day (Wear pajamas.)
Dec. 17 Holiday Party Day (Wear festive holiday attire.)
On Tuesday, our amazing PTA has scheduled Santa and his crew to stop by in his helicopter to greet our OCT Tigers!
Thursday is Polar Express Day and we will enjoy hot chocolate and popcorn with PreK.
Friday we will have our Holiday Party. By Thursday, please send a gift wrapped book (under $10) with your child for our book exchange. Please write on the tag "To my friend from (your child's name)." Make sure the book is appropriate for a boy or a girl. We will send out a sign up genius for snacks and supplies.
Friday is an Early Dismissal Day. AM students will attend 7:40-9:40. PM students will attend 9:45-11:45. Full day students will attend 7:40-11:45. If your child uses transportation, his/her schedule will be adjusted accordingly.
Winter Break is Dec. 20-Jan. 4. We will see everyone back on Wed. Jan. 5. Have a wonderful holiday with your family!
