Math

This week students will be taking their Math STAAR test on May 10th. Please have them bring in headphones EVERYDAY this week, a book, a healthy snack, and a jacket. They have worked so hard for this day and I am so proud of each of them! Let's ROCK THIS STAAR TEST!

NO HOMEWORK THIS WEEK!

2nd 5th Grade Auction:

The 5th grade teachers and I are working on another Auction for the students to enjoy in the final days of 5th grade. I don't have a date set yet but it will most likely be the last week of school. I have created an Amazon list of items they helped me come up with of things they would like to bid on with their Eppersonian bucks. If you have any interest in helping that day, I would love a few volunteers, please email me and let me know!

Science & Social Studies

This week in Science, we are reviewing all skills in between our STAAR testing days. Assignments will not be "heavy" as I know the students are working so hard. The goal is just to keep our Science skills fresh for next week!

In Social Studies this week, we are wrapping up any loose ends and are beginning to work on the district Humanities Eras project. Students will be given work and research time in both my and Mrs. Fiffik's blocks.

Students will present their work during the last week of school.

Reading/ Writing

This week the students will begin their Era Project! On Monday we will discuss what this project will entail, students will get to choose their top 3 topics, and we will review for STAAR.

Tuesday and Thursday are testing days!

Wednesday and Friday students will be assigned their topic and partner. They will then begin to research their topic, deciding what artifacts they will create that

NO more spelling this year!

Next week we will begin working on our ERA project. Mark your calendars for May 25 from 10-11 for student presentations of their particular Era. Presentations will be in the library!
