Science:

In science we are working on Changes in States of Matter.

Main Points to Know:

  • Heating (adding heat/adding thermal energy) and cooling (removing heat/removing thermal energy) can cause matter to change states.

  • Heating causes matter to change state from solid to liquid (ice becoming liquid water), liquid to gas (liquid water being heated to the point of becoming water vapor).

  • Cooling causes matter to change state from gas to liquid (condensation forming on the outside of a glass of ice water), liquid to solid.

Writing:

This week's focus
