4 Connecting the Controller to the PC Connect the controller to your PC using the cable provided. 1 Safety Advice Two people are required to lift and fix the CleverTouch when attaching to a cabinet or stand. The only setting that needs a choice is the type of controller: Either SC3 serial controller or TS12 USB controller. Routinely clean the board after each session, using a good quality WHITE MARKER BOARD Spray cleaner (not supplied) or CleverBrush universal marker pen cleaner (not supplied). The screen should now be ready for its next user session. For full interactive capabilities a free serial port and a Windows environment is required. Squeeze the cloth almost dry and wipe the whole surface gently to loosen the residue. Remove the residue with a dry paper towel or tissue. 6 Installing the driver on a Macintosh Insert the driver software into the appropriate drive MAKE SURE THE USB DEVICE IS DISCONNECTED Open the folder on the desktop and click on the installer folder Follow the directions on the screen Then install the controller Then calibrate either 3 or 7 points Installing Lynx Insert the Lynx PDI software CD into the appropriate drive The CD will load automatically Follow the directions on the screen Use ‘Typical’ to install all of Lynx Use ‘Minimal’ to install Lynx only without clipart (not recommended) Follow the activation procedures given 1. The CleverTouch is pressure sensitive & therefore can register very light contacts on its surface. Under Macintosh, the Calibration appears automatically. Drivers for Windows 95/98 , ME, 2000, NT, XP are all shipped with the CleverTouch products. You will still have to load the CleverTouch drivers for the third party software to work correctly
