Wendy Yeo Artist Painter: Biography - Gallery of paintings - Picture price guide

Wendy Yeo was born in Hong Kong into a very distinguished local family, her grandfather being the philanthropist Sir Robert Ho Tung, known as the Grand Old Man of Hong Kong. Despite her parents initially hoping she might become an architect, at age 17 she moved to England to take up a place at the Slade School of Fine Art. She graduated with many prizes and also completed an additional post graduate year.

Wendy Yeo has since exhibited her work in solo exhibitions throughout Europe, USA and Hong Kong and her work is to be found in many private and public collections including museums and galleries. This has established her as an acclaimed internationally recognised artist.

Wendy Yeo is particularly known as a semi-abstract painter whose work is inspired by landscapes, townscapes and organic forms in nature, combining the individuality of Western art values with her own unique interpretation of traditional Chinese brushwork and atmosphere.

The artist’s work is now highly sought after and fetches high prices at auction, typically in the range £200-300 or more.

Wendy Yeo currently lives in England and Wales. She was elected a Member of the Royal Watercolour Society of Wales in 2007.
