JAMES T. CALLOWHILL: Paintings for Sale - Biography

JAMES CALLOWHILL (1838-1917) was a much admired painter of rural landscapes, mostly in oils, working in the late 19th Century, whose work is still much sought after at auction nearly 150 years later. Several of his finest paintings depict scenes in North Wales. For example, his painting entitled "Path & Spring near Capel Curig" sold recently at auction for no less than US$1,324 (see Findartinfo.com).
