Frederick James Lees, perhaps better known simply as F.J. LEES, was a highly talented watercolour artist working at the end of the 19th Century, and whose work is now increasingly collectable.

FJ Lees’ output was quite limited which has meant that as his work has become more appreciated so the prices for his work have soared, especially his views along the Thames looking across to Eton College, Windsor Castle and beyond, for which he is most famous. Recently, for example, Philips sold a view of Windsor Castle by the artist for no less than US$1,604.
