JACOB HUNT Equestrian Artist: Painting for sale - Biography

Jacob Hunt was born in 1958 and won his first art competition at the age of six. Other childhood art prizes were to follow including several in his teenage years and a national art students painting prize while he was still at college. He received his formal art education at Norwich Art School where, as well as studying painting he learned the art of silk screen and other forms of printing. During the late seventies and early eighties, the skills in printmaking that he acquired at art school led him to London where he worked in silk screen printing. In the evenings he began to paint again as a hobby and sold his work to family and friends. In 1995 he held his first and only one man exhibition at Impton Studios, an Art Gallery in London, where thirty of his paintings were sold. In 1996 Jacob Hunt moved to studios in the Netherlands. He has now retired from full time painting.
