Ivan Berryman: Artist biography - Photo of the artist

Ivan Berryman was born in Sussex in 1958. His father was an aeronautical engineer. After leaving school in 1974, he worked for several years as a professional photographer and also showed strong musical talent on both guitar and drums. Having sold his first paintings in 1978, Ivan recognised the potential in his abilities and his fondness for all things related to aviation meant that all of his early works were of aircraft. Many of his father's contacts were impressed enough by these early paintings to commission pictures from him and he was soon on his way to a full time career in art. In time, various publishers began to produce his paintings in the form of greeting cards, calendars and limited edition prints and many have been used in books and magazines whilst his original paintings hang in private collections around the World. Ivan's studio is now based in Wootton Bridge on the Isle of Wight. Fuller biography and photo of the artist:
