Simon Bull was born in 1958. He studied art at both Cheltenham and Leeds Colleges of Art. He has built up a phenomenal reputation as a printmaker with his vibrant and unique style of monotype etchings, (of which this is a superb example). He won the Fine Art Trade Guild 1997 award for Best Selling Artist of the Year and has held numerous highly successful one man exhibitions. In Simon's unique Monotype Etchings process. each piece is hand printed and then hand coloured using inks, pastels and gold foil. Each print is therefore unique. A childhood spent in the jungles of South America, the cultural centres of Europe, and the mountains of Southern China, have all combined to shape the creative vision of Simon Bull who has since become one of the world's most compelling living artists. His work is collected by royalty, presidents, celebrities, and museums as well as a growing number of private collectors who find their lives enriched by the colour and emotion of his work. Simon Bull now lives in America where he has built up a reputation as one of their major artists.
Simon Bull was the official artist of the 2019 National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. He is a two-time winner of the prestigious U.S. National Association of Limited Edition Dealers (NALED) Print of the Year award; recipient of the NALED Medal of Honor for services to the art industry, and has been the official artist of boxing legend Muhammad Ali and of the U.S. Winter Olympics.
Prints of Simon Bull's paintings are now highly collectable as prints. Some of his finest are obtainable from Art Brokerage with his Limited Edition prints priced in the range US$1,000-2,500. Another major vendor of his prints is Buy Fine Art.
According to Wikipedia his art is currently represented exclusively, by his own company Simon Bull Studios of Carmel CA and MEUSE gallery on Carmel's Ocean Avenue. Simon Bull Studios contracts with and supplies a network of fine art galleries around the world including Cutter & Cutter Fine Art, Park West Gallery and others. He has been represented in the UK by, London Contemporary Art and DeMontfort Fine Art; as well as in the USA with Media Arts Group. His worldwide licensing agent is Art Brands Group.
