Simon Bull was born in 1958. He studied art at both Cheltenham and Leeds Colleges of Art. He has built up a phenomenal reputation as a printmaker with his vibrant and unique style of monotype etchings, (of which this is a superb example). He won the Fine Art Trade Guild 1997 award for Best Selling Artist of the Year and has held numerous highly successful one man exhibitions. In Simon's unique Monotype Etchings process. each piece is hand printed and then hand coloured using inks, pastels and gold foil. Each print is therefore unique. A childhood spent in the jungles of South America, the cultural centres of Europe, and the mountains of Southern China, have all combined to shape the creative vision of Simon Bull who has since become one of the world's most compelling living artists. His work is collected by royalty, presidents, celebrities, and museums as well as a growing number of private collectors who find their lives enriched by the colour and emotion of his work. Simon Bull now lives in America where he has built up a reputation as one of their major artists.

Simon Bull was the official artist of the 2019 National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. He is a two-time winner of the prestigious U.S. National Association of Limited Edition Dealers (NALED) Print of the Year award; recipient of the NALED Medal of Honor for services to the art industry, and has been the official artist of boxing legend Muhammad Ali and of the U.S. Winter Olympics.
