Here is a small jewel-like oil painting by VELASCO. It depicts an old Violin Teacher and is executed in exquisite detail in oils on panel. It is signed by the artist VELASCO at bottom right. This small painting measures only 20 cm. by 28 cm. but its impact is immediate. It probably dates from the late 19th century. The painting itself is in near perfect condition with no flaking or cracking. The simple frame, however, is suffering significant wear and tear, mainly surface chips.
