LES PARSON (sometimes spelled as Les Parsons) was born in Rochdale, Lancashire in 1945. He worked in London as a Computer Engineer until 1974 and hen moved to Cornwall working as an installer of Radar, Sonar and Ship to Shore radio on small fishing boats. In 1978, after encouragement from several Gallery owners, he became a full time artist and has flourished mightily ever since. He is now internationally recognised for his lovely paintings, often of boats or children at play, whether at the seaside or in the countryside. Many of his finest works are set in Cornwall where he has now made his home.
Les Parson’s work is now fetching high prices. For example, his "River Scene with Children Fishing" recently fetch US$275 at auction and other fine works by the same artist have fetched similarly high prices.(Click the link below for details of recent Les Parson auction prices.)
