Field Reporter

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the camera tool and the forgery kit.

Shoot

At 3rd level, you may use a camera on a single target. This follows the normal rules for using a camera. When used this way, it has the following profile:

If you make an attack with your camera, you may immediately use a bonus action to use your Sneak Attack feature with that attack. All other rules for the Sneak Attack feature still apply to you.

You do not need to charge a camera before using it.

You may use a bonus action to remove and replace a roll of film in a camera.

Follow the News

At 9th level, you have an uncommon sense for following stories. You gain advantage on Intelligence (Investigation) and Charisma (Investigation) ability tests.

Additionally, you may spend 1 hour in any city to learn the nature and location of all information sources within that city, as well as all the news for the past week.

Shoot the Bullet

At 13th level, when you are hit by a ranged attack, you may use your reaction to use your camera to gain +5 AC against that attack, potentially causing the attack to miss.

Alternatively, when you are subjected to a spell or effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw, you may use your reaction to use your camera to gain advantage on that saving throw.

Shoot First

At 17th level, whenever combat begins, if you are not surprised, you may use your reaction to use your camera. If you are surprised, you instead get the chance to do this at the end of a surprise round.

If you make an attack this way, you may add your Sneak Attack damage to the attack.
