Reisen Udongein Inaba

"Who knows? But the one who needs to watch out is you."

Reisen Udongein Inaba is a Moon Rabbit who, after fleeing to Earth, now serves Eirin Yagokoro. Her duties include bodyguarding the princess, Kaguya Houraisan, training under Eirin, and selling her medicine. She has since become accustomed to like on Earth, and is now more like an Earth Rabbit than a Moon Rabbit.

Her power is to manipulate waves, from light and sound waves, allowing her to conceal her position, to brain waves, allowing her to cause delusions in a person or cause them to go insane, to using them to attack.

When it comes to fighting, she is usually able to rely upon her own considerable skill. However, she tends to follow the orders of Eirin, and typically spends her time running her errands or acting on her behalf. If she goes to fight someone, it's usually because she was ordered to.

Features:

Cover: Any good fighter knows to keep her head down if she doesn't want to lose it. Udonge gains an additional +2 to her AC when she receives additional AC from being obscured or in cover.

Moon Rabbit Telepathy: Moon Rabbits can communicate over long distances, allowing them to stay updated, even with those on the Moon and on the Earth, a skill that has served Udonge well in her attempts to evade capture. Udonge can communicate telepathically with any other creature with Moon Rabbit Telepathy. This has unlimited range. Additionally, Udonge can listen in on telepathic communication without being detected. She can also jam all telepathy within 300 ft. of her.

Wave Manipulation: Udonge's special skill allows her to manipulate waves, creating images, disappearing from sight, or even causing insanity in the weak minded. Udonge is able to manipulate waves.

  • She can use an action to manipulate light waves to create visual illusions over a 20 ft. cube. These are intangible. If inspected without touching, a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw will reveal it as false.
  • She can use an action to manipulate sound waves to create sounds. A DC 16 Wisdom saving throw reveals the sounds as being artificial.
  • She can use an action to manipulate brainwaves to induce hallucinations or a change in behavior. A DC 16 Wisdom saving throw may be made to resist these effects. On a failure, Reisen chooses one of the following effects: the creature becomes charmed by Udonge, or becomes restrained, or the creature immediately makes an attack using whatever weapon it is holding against the nearest creature other than Udonge. If charmed or restrained, the creature may repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.

Actions:

Multiattack: Udonge makes three attacks, using either Lunatic Gun or CQC.

Lunatic Gun: Ranged weapon attack. 300 ft. range. +10 to hit, 2d8+6 force damage. Being within 5 ft. of an enemy does not impose disadvantage on attack rolls when using this weapon.

CQC: A skilled fighter knows how to keep an opponent at the distance she wants them. Melee weapon attack. +10 to hit, 2d6+6 bludgeoning. Udonge may have a creature hit by this attack make a DC 16 Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) test. On a failure, Udonge grapples the creature with the hand used to make the attack. Udonge does not provoke opportunity attacks from a creature she attacks with CQC for the rest of the turn.

Desolation "Discarder" (Recharge 4-6): Memorising even the most powerful spells becomes worthless when the mind is compromised. Udonge blasts the mind of a creature. The target makes a DC 16 Wisdom save. On a failure, the creature takes 10d6 psychic damage, and also immediately counts as having expended two spell slots of Udonge's choice. On a success, the creature takes half as much damage and does not count as expending any spell slots.
