green beans with mustard sauce

This is a simple recipe. Green beans in sauce.

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • pepper to taste

  • 1/2 C celery leaves

  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 3/4 lb green beans

  • 1/4 C water

1. Rinse and sort the green beans. Remove the stems. Rinse and chop the celery leaves.

2. In a large skillet melt the butter over medium-high heat.

3. Stir in the mustard and a dash of pepper.

4. Add the green beans, celery leaves, and water to the skillet.

5. Cover the skillet and cook 15 to 17 minutes or until the green beans are crisp tender. Stir occasionally. If the heat is too high and the water is evaporating too soon, add more water.

6. Remove the green beans from the heat and serve hot.
