baked pork chops

This is an easy pork chop recipe for thicker pork chops.

  • 1 to 1 1/2 inch thick pork chops, desired quantity.

  • yellow onion

  • salt to taste

  • pepper to taste

  • 1 bottle Heinz brand chile sauce

  • 1/2 bottle water

1. Preheat the oven to 450.

2. Place the pork chops in an ungreased baking pan. Line the pan if desired.

3. Slice the onion into rings. Place one slice of onion on top of each pork chop. Shake the desired quantity of salt and pepper over the pork chops.

4. Pour an entire bottle of Heinz brand chile sauce over the pork chops. Add a little water (1/2 bottle) to the bottle. Shake the bottle and pour over the pork chops. Other brands of chile sauce or homemade chile sauce can be used if desired.

5. Bake the pork chops for 15 minutes at 450 degrees. Lower the heat to 350 degrees and bake approximately 1 hour. Stir the chops so that they don't stick. When the juices run clear and/or the chops temp out at 160 next to the bone in the thickest area of the chop the meat is cooked.
