pecan pie

Pecan pie is a rich dessert frequently found in pie displays at restaurants along with key lime pie and cherry pie. The ingredient Karo is a brand name of corn syrup. Any brand of corn syrup can be used in the recipe provided that it is the white grade. Light and dark corn syrups cannot be substituted for each other. The pie shell should be unbaked, and can be either store bought or homemade. A homemade recipe link is available at the bottom of the page.
