lasagna casserole
I made this casserole to use up leftovers from making a pizza. With just spaghetti sauce it is more of a lasagna taste. With the tomato sauce and paste I've updated the ingredient list with you get the taste of pizza in a casserole.
white rice
small or flat pasta noodles
1 regular size can tomato sauce
1 small (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1 can tomato paste
1/2 yellow onion
1 green bell pepper
pepperoni
3/4 pound uncooked sausage
small can chunk pineapple
1 small can sliced mushrooms
Cheddar cheese
Mozzarella cheese
garlic powder
onion powder
oregano
pepper
red chile pepper
red chile flakes
Parmesan cheese
1. Preheat the oven to 375.
2. Cook the rice and pasta. Make approximately equal portions. The best tasting batch I got so far used bow tie noodles.
3. Chop the onion and bel pepper. Cut the pepperoni, sausage, and pineapple into bite size pieces. Shred the cheese.
4. Put the rice, pasta, tomato sauce and paste, onion, bell pepper, pepperoni, sausage, pineapple, mushroom, some of the Cheddar cheese, some of the Mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, a little onion powder, oregano, a few shakes of pepper, some red chile powder, and red chile flakes in the baking dish. Mix the ingredients together. Top with some Cheddar cheese, Mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and seasonings.
5. Bake about 20 - 30 minutes or so, until internal temperature of 165 is reached.
