Like with the old violin, the Master comes and the foolish crowd never can quite understand the worth of a soul and the change that's wrought by the touch of the Master's hand. (Soup, p294)
Worthy is the lamb that was slain to recieve power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing. (KJV, Rev 5:12)
*UNWORTHINESS - see DARKNESS, EMPTINESS, NOTHINGNESS, BLINDNESS
The experience of one's unworthiness is in a sense a preliminary to the experience of nothingness: one's own and that of all creation. And yet in this nothingness everything is to be found: those who have encountered it will feel very dark and inscrutable, but they are blinded by the splendor of its spiritual light rather than by ordinary darkness. Our superficial self derides it as an emptiness. OUR TRUE INNER SELF APPRECIATES IT (our unworthiness?) AS A FULLNESS BEYOND MEASURE. ??? For in this darkness we experience an intuitive understanding of everything material and spiritual without giving special attention to anything in particular. (Contemplation, p29)
