*IMAGINATION - also see BEATIFIC and HEAVEN
Made in the image and likeness of God, we are all creators. It is essential that we each find ways to express the truth, goodness and beauty of what we discover in the world and within ourselves. To develop and use our imagination by putting our inner and outer truth into different forms is how we assimilate that truth and grow to embrace it. (SRC Newsletter, May/June97)
Faith is imaginative. (????)
Hell-fire merely represents a failure of imagination. St. Paul said: 'no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those that love him.' Our imaginations are inhibited not merely by the limitations of space, from which we cannot escape, but by the less obvious but even more severe limitations of time. It is only when we escape from time, as well as space, that we can possibly begin to imagine what Heaven will be like. (Quest, p173-182)
