*MOMENT - also see PRESENT
It is God's providence of what we need that satisfies, not the endless collecting of what we want. When we live humbly in his "grace for the moment" there's a wondrous thing that happens to our souls. We're freed. We've nothing to lose, no need to accumulate, no fear of tomorrow's own trials and no senseof deprivation today. God doesn't want us to be rich. He wants us to cut through our "adult" pretensions and pride, to dwell as children in his hands. It's in our dependence that he can make us ever more aware of the intangible reality of his kingdom. (PS, Prosperity Gospel Editorial, 1/1/96)
Remember to stop and smell the roses. Being werapped up in our own little world keeps us from being fully aware of the bigger world picture around us. See life as we go about our daily activities and use our God-given talents to help others less fortunate. (Soup, p283,286)
