*BREAK/*BREAKDOWN/*BROKEN/-*34
You will break through to Spirit in your own way. God is in charge of your breakthrough, so you will experience what is for your higher good. By getting quiet, comfortable, going into deep meditation, and then asking God, it is possible for you to experience a breakthrough. Begin your meditation with an opening prayer. Then, as you go deeper, you will pass through various levels of consciousness from the environment, to being aware of the body, the conscious mind, the subconscious mind, walk through the facade barrier and experience Spirit within, your divine self. (Divine Rev, 93,97)
We had discarded God, and He was letting us see how we could live without Him. We had ignored religion in our families, schools and governments, and the result had been the breakdown of a civilization we thought secure. (Rebld,p34)
Our brokenness is the wound through which the full power of God can penetrate our being and transfigure us in God... Yes, through our wounds the power of God can penetrate us and become like rivers of living water to irrigate the arid earth within us. (Be Not Afraid by Jean Vanier)
We are but men, frail, feeble, and apt to faint. (Charles Spurgeon)
When God wants to do an impossible task, He takes an impossible man and breaks him. I am intrigued by the word 'broken.' It means, literally, 'shattered.' My sacrifice to God, according to Psalm 51:17, is a shattered spirit and a bruised heart. It is not until the pride of our heart is shattered that we will begin to understand the deep things of God.
