*SON - also see CREATION, CHILDREN
Jesus never meant that he was the sole Son of God, but that no man can attain the unqualified Absolut, the transcendent Father beyond creation, until he has first manifested the "Son" or activating Christ Consciousness within creation. But all men have been divinely created and should "Be ye perfect as your Father which is in heaven is perfect" (Matt 5:48) and that "we should be called the sons of God" (1 John 3:1). The early Christian church accepted the doctrine of reincarnation until 553 (2nd Council of Constantinople) because many thought it afforded man too ample a stage of time and space to encourage him to strive for immediate salvation. The truth is that man reincarnates on earth until he has consciously regained his staus as a son of God. (Yogi, p178)
He who overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son. (Rev 21:7)
Jesus is the son of God, just like we are all sons of God. But he is not the God, but the son, blessed and given the message of love to bring to the world. (Awakening, p234)
Adopt them as his sons. (Eph 1:4-5)
The title "Son of Man" points up the position of Jesus as the representative of humanity in the great work of Redemeption. (Guide, p92)
Jesus is our mediator as both the "Son of Man" and the "Son of God". Jesus being the Son of Truth (feminine) and Justice (masculine) is a balance or both or completion (new creation) of the Feminine and Masculine. And we are called to be like Jesus to help co-create a new earth. Could the Son, the first fruit (which was sacrified and offered up to God) of a new creation, be the procreation from the Holy Spirit and the Father? Could the Holy Spirit and the Father, not be a union of female and male, but a union of spirit and matter? Could the Holy Spirit of created matter similiarly like going from the 1st harmonic to the 2nd harmonic? Jesus is the Son of God (archetype-essence), whereas, we are sons of god (expressions). (Randy)
