*SORROW - also see JOY
Perfect correspondence to his grace consists in a strong, deep, interior sorrow. He who understands the deep universal reason for sorrow experiences not only "what he is", but "that he is". This sorrow purifies a man of sin and sin's punishment. Even more, it prepares his heart to recieve that joy through which he will finally transcend the knowing and felling of his being.
