Action

*ACTION - see TRANSFORM, TRANSCEND, UNION, MARRIAGE, COMPLETE

He demands both action and fruition, in such a way that the action shall not hinder the fruition, nor the fruition the action, but they shall reinforce one another reciprocally. (p521) (Mysticism)

Our misfortune is the result of our own actions. (Prayer, p117)

Collaoration with Christ in his work of redemption is now seen in the context of the oneness of all life. Nothing so changes the world as a change within human beings. If their action proceeds from their experience of the oneness of divine life or if they allow "God to be God in them" then they put up no resistance to God's action and can do most for the world. Human beings are expressions of the divine and act most effectively when they are the purest expressions of it that they can be. The less they intervene through their empeirical egos, the better. They fulfill their task as co-redeemers no less in small everyday matters that are taken for granted than in major decisions. (Contemplation, p60)

Actions speak louder than words.

Prayer in action is love; love in action is service. (Mother Teresa)

God as "Alpha and Omega" is still in action today via His PROVIDENCE, and God showed His surrender/sacrifice/emptiness when He created the world and has faith in us to be co-creators to bring it to fruition. (Randy)

Not only is ACTIVITY vital for the development of higher states of consciousness, it continues to remain an important characteristic of life when the higher state has been reached. As the Zen aphorism puts it: 'Before

enlightenment, chop wood and carry water; After enlightenment, chop wood and carry water.' (TM, p119)

I don't think I can even begin to realize how active God is in my own life, much less the whole world's. What we all think is chance, may very well be God's PROVIDENCE at work in our lives because of the tremendous love He has for each and every one of us. This also gives Him a way to be a part of our lives, but in our fallen state we don't even recognize that, much less give thanks and praise for so deeply blessing us with His grace (which is a free and unmerited gift). I wonder if: God made me short knowing that any bigger I would be a power monger or if better looking then a adulterer? (Randy)
