Mantra "It's all connected." (Spirituality for Dummies, p151)
While we may all operate as individuals, we also appear to share something far, far greater - a global consciousness. Some might call it the mind of God. We're driven by society to separate ourselves from each other. That's not right. We may be connected together far more intimately than we realise. All things are connected. Man did not weave the web of life; he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself. What we give out comes back to us; all life is connected, one in Tao. We're all linked in an ongoing exchange of energies and our interdependence is a fact. (Tao Peace, p250,256)
Spiritual laws govern our existence, and that each and every part of God's wonderful creation is intimately connected with every other part and that everything we do has a ripple effect. (Awakening, page xii)
Dreams can provide a gateway for communication from our loved ones in the spiritual world and can also connect us with our higher self and God. (Awakening, p77)
Learning to love is our goal, and our connection with God will help us do that, if we let him. (Awakening, p224)
Connecting Jesus and Christianity by woman Dr. at LeMoyne Coll at SRC 10/24/96:
Jesus had the ability/vision/power to imagine that things SH/COULD BE DIFFERENT.
Jesus must have been middle class (could read), but sympathy w/ lower class.
Jesus taught that those outside of law (in catch 22) could be in kingdom here and now. With faith (beautic vision) you can see that good is more powerful than evil and Jesus calls us to change our systems. God wants not to be served by us but to serve us and not worshipped by us but to care for the needy. (Randy)
DISCONNECTED
Creation Spirituality begins with the notion of creation as an original blessing as opposed to original sin. For Matthew Fox sin results not so much from disobedience with God's laws as it does from disconnectedness to God's creation.
