The world around us is in turmoil

Arab spring has increased the price of oil

Some of the old tyrants have gone

The rest buying time counting on their oil

The western nations are also in trouble

Having paid themselves too much, used too much oil

They are mostly in denial and as usual

Plotting to maintain the flow of oil

Some of those who sit on a sea of oil

Wish they had rainfalls instead of oil
