Students interested in adapted physical education, physical education, special education, or human service professions are strongly encouraged to enroll.

This course is designed to provide students the opportunity to assist students with physical restrictions/limitations and the effects of those restrictions/limitations upon motor development. PE lessons will include the following but not limited to: fundamental motor skills and patterns, fitness-orientated activities, small group games, and other activity based movement. Student helpers will be expected to work 1 on 1 with students while participating in a wide variety of activities in a physical education setting. Students must sign a contract/confidentiality waiver through the Physical Education Department.

Students are allowed to take up to 2 credits of experience based course offerings that best fit their needs or interests.
Classroom assistant courses will count towards the 2 credit experience based course offering maximum.
