Mathematics Graduation Requirements - 3 Credits
NOTE: Some math placements will be determined by math teachers and school counselor recommendation.Â
Non-Calculus Path
This path is recommended for students who do not intend on taking AP PreCalculus or
AP Calculus.
Calculus Path
This path is for students that wish to pursue a career where high level math skills are essential. This pathway also allows students the ability to take AP PreCalculus during their senior year.
Calculus Path for Students Taking Algebra 1 in 8th Grade
Students who completed Algebra 1 in middle school are still expected to complete 3 credits of math while at the high school level. Students will be able to take AP PreCalculus during their junior year and AP Calculus during their senior year.

Math Electives
For students who would like to continue with mathematics courses past the 3 credit graduation requirement.
Specialty Math Courses
These courses are designed with specific students in mind.
Math Topics is an alternate course for students who have experiences difficulty in earlier math courses but would like to continue on with additional math courses.
Math for Technical Trades is an applied mathematics course for students that are interested in a career in automotive tech, machine tool, or electrical power distribution.
