Portfolio Prep: 2D Design and Photography focuses on design foundations and technical skills in traditional and digital media, emphasizing photography. Photography will be implemented into the curriculum to show and help students understand the importance photography is to design. The course will introduce perspective, lighting, camera features, digital image editing basics and other assets of photography needs. A variety of photography and multimedia approaches will be used, as well as a range of approaches to subject matter and design.


Portfolio Prep: 2D Design and Photography fulfills course requirements and earns Chippewa Valley Technical College 20-815-205 Introduction to Photography - 3 credits, a requirement in the CVTC Graphic Design Program and is an essential course for all students interested in an Art and Design career in the Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications career pathway.
