Carbon is arguably the most versatile element.  It is the basis to countless compounds including slime, gasoline, plastics, and all living systems.  You will explore the versatility of carbon through the hands-on labs and activities in this quarter long course. Units of study will include: Introduction to Hydrocarbons, Petroleum, Dyes, Plastics and other Polymers.
