Wire Choir is an auditioned string group open to students enrolled in one of the concert orchestras. The three day audition process takes place in the spring, and those that make it will have a three day summer camp where the music is started and the group connects through many team building experiences. One piece at a time, the show (usually four to five tunes) is memorized and then put to choreography. Performances throughout the year include all of the school orchestra concerts, solo/ensemble, performances at the elementary schools and numerous community performances. There are often out of town performances as well. Students need to fund their uniforms, and many fundraising opportunities are offered to make that possible.
