This course covers dairy cattle and meat animal (beef cattle, hogs, sheep) production and management. It includes the science of feeding, breeding, health care, and management of these animals. Newly developed animal science technologies will also be discussed. Students in this course will compete in the Chippewa County Dairy Judging Contest and work towards earning the Dairy Herd Management certificate through the Dairy Leaders of Tomorrow.
