Recommended: Intro to CAD/FAB Lab, Intro to Engineering Design, Introduction to Welding, and Metal Fabrication

Advanced Standing agreements allow students to request credit for certain courses that have an articulation agreement established. High School courses must have an 80% competency match and students must receive a "B" or better in order to receive credit.
Key Points to Consider:
Students receive high school credit immediately, but only receive college credit upon admission
Students must work with their advisor to claim credit
Credits do not transfer out of WTCS System
Student supplied safety glasses are required.
Machine Tool Technology is an in depth exploration of modern machine tool practices. This course will allow the student to further develop the knowledge and skills acquired in the Machine Metalworking course. Areas emphasized include advanced measuring practices using digital readouts, knurling, taper turning, and thread cutting through advanced lathe operations.
