Geometry is the study of shapes and sizes of physical objects. Besides the study of points, lines, planes, angles, polygons, circles, boxes, spheres, cones, and some other figures, geometry also involves exploration of visual patterns and making connections between algebraic and geometric concepts. Additionally, both formal and informal geometric proofs help develop higher level cognitive skills which can be applied to higher level math as well as a variety of "real life” situations. A scientific calculator is required for this course.
