A classroom assistant actively participates in everyday tasks assigned by the host staff and works alongside the staff and students. The classroom assistant must enjoy working with others and be devoted to building a nurturing and safe learning environment. With successful participation, students may be eligible to earn a Wisconsin Youth Leadership Certificate. Students who are interested in education or human service professions are strongly encouraged to enroll.

Students must submit a signed parent permission/confidentiality form to be in the class. You will be required to provide your own transportation to and from the high school to the Cardinal Transition Academy (26 W. Grand Avenue). You will be expected to follow both high school and CTA policies.

Students are allowed to take up to 2 credits of experience based course offerings that best fit their needs or interests.
Classroom assistant courses will count towards the 2 credit experience based course offering maximum.
