Experience a wide variety of digital art created primarily on the computer using the Adobe Suite applications and digital art technology. Learn about different digital media and how it is created by experimenting with drawing tablets, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop. Projects include logo design, 2D character design, digital drawing, fine art photography, 2D animation, GIF design, multimedia projects, etc. Experience using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is highly recommended and will allow for more creativity and higher level learning/production in the course. Future Ready Skills, to better prepare students for all careers, are a significant focus of all visual arts courses. This course is encouraged for all students, especially those interested in the Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications career pathways.
