This course is designed to provide students with the tools needed to responsibly manage personal finances and build wealth. The learner will learn how to establish, evaluate, and achieve financial goals; discuss the impact of post-secondary education and career choices on finances; understand the impact of taxes; use financial statements; manage financial accounts; use credit responsibly; understand the costs of major purchases; analyze financial risk and risk management strategies using insurance; evaluate ways to build wealth; and plan and prepare for retirement.
