In this course, you will experience Country Music from its beginnings in the rural areas of the South to the arenas of the 21st century. Genres studied include (but are not limited to) folk tunes, honky tonk, gospel, bluegrass and rockabilly. Listen to, analyze, and follow the evolution of country music styles throughout American history, culture, fashion, politics, and more.
